THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, BALTIMORE COUNTY (UMBC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants are expected to establish a vigorous and externally funded research program in any sub-discipline of toxicological chemistry (e.g., cancer toxicology, forensic toxicology, pharmacology, metabolite identification and degradation toxicologically-relevant organic synthesis/mechanisms, etc.). Candidates must have an outstanding record of scientific achievement, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should have a PhD and postdoctoral experience in any of the sub-disciplines in or related to toxicological chemistry. The selected candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate (PhD and MS) levels with particular interests in toxicological chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, nursing chemistry and/or analytical chemistry. Importantly, the applicant should demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence in both teaching and research programs.
